The gallery directors invited me to create an installation shaped by public participation. I titled it Connected, as an offering toward bridge-building in a time marked by division. For one month prior to my exhibition, I transformed the gallery into a working studio—tables laid out with materials, the process fully visible, visitors were invited not only to observe how the work is made, but to sit beside me and make work with me, becoming collaborators in the installation’s unfolding form. Eighty-five people of different ages, genders, professions, and backgrounds joined in. Like a contemporary sewing circle, we gathered around the tables, our hands busy as conversations moved freely about our lives—ideas, stories, laughter, compassion gave way to shared ground and moments of recognition, valued by all.
